The Five Best Candle Brands, According To You

We burned the candle at both ends to figure out the top five candles brands, as voted by all you candle-obsessed people out there. Now it’s time to melt it down to one. Read what everyone had to say and make sure you cast your vote.

I really like the WoodWick candles. They give off a nice crackle and pop sound and usually have a decent sized flame. Bed Bath and Beyond picks a scent of the month and marks them down 20% so that’s nice. - BionicOddity

I second this. Most scented candles give me a headache, but these are lightly scented and the wick produces a very relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. - MikeofLA

It’s woodwick or bust for me. Their scents are mostly pleasant (every candle manufacturer has hits and misses for me) with the Honeysuckle and Pomegranate being personal favorites. The gentle crackling is really soothing, and they last a long time. - remingtonmartin

Woodwick candles are the only ones I buy. Last a long time, smell amazing, make a great flickering/burning sound and the vanilla ones always make me hungry for sugar cookies.

Bath & Body Works 3-Wick

They have many sub-brands, like White Barn and Aromatherapy and limited time holiday-only exclusives. They are generally in the $22-25 range but BBW often have sales throughout the year for $15, $13 and $10. And then early November, they historically have had a Three Wick $8 blow-out sale which is the best time to stock up and the lowest price I’ve ever seen.

I’m not obsessed in the least. - Molly O’Poverty

Yup, these babies get my vote. Nope, not addictive. Not addictive at all until you run low.... - Our Lady in Virginia

I have tried many many candles over the years and B&BW three wick are the only ones (aside from certain Yankee candle scents) that emotionally fulfill me. - PollSVP

Mainstays because anyone who pays more than .94 cents for a 3.5 oz candle is just loony to me - Coily the Spring Sprite

Favorite scents are Fresh Cotton and Coastal Woods - I don’t like anything too fruity or floral. - cybrczch1

I love the long lasting scent of these. Very easy to find on Amazon and inexpensive too. There’s a whole series of them, Edgar Allen Poe is my favorite. -MummyAreYouMyMummy?

Yes to Paddywax! They make ones that look like they’re in little camping mugs, there’s a scent that’s fresh air and sea salt- it is the best, cleanest, freshest smell ever. Like your living room took a shower! - Baileylikethebooze

Paddywax has my vote — they have a whole bunch of really fantastic lines which have great scents and great looks. They’re especially good for people like me who are sensitive to certain scents — because they’re both mostly naturally scented AND have a lot of unusual scent combinations, I’m able to find candles I love instead of just tolerate. - kontrovert

Crumble Co.

Crumble Co. truly cares about people and their company promotes mental health and suicide awareness. Aside from this, they offer a wide variety of scents with unique names that will make you smile, such as “Pegasus Poots” “Sexy Lifeguard” and “Wax Daddy”. Their scents are very strong, the company uses 3x the amount of scented oil in their creations as leading brands. All of their wax products are soy based and sport glitter, confetti or even candy atop brightly colored wax cubes. Purchasing from this company is an extremely fun experience that you will not forget nor regret! - Loki Jar
